Use of language here

The main reason women in porn refer to themselves as sluts is because either the men in the scene are telling her to say it, or she is just trying to sell her product/porn to those that are turned on by derogatory language.
Most porn is a male fantasy. Most men fantasize about control and domination in sex, which may invlove derogatory language as a means of control. Pornstars do porn to make money. If that means they look into the camera and call themselves sluts to sell their product, they will do it. And although I'm sure there are some pornstars that really do think they are worthless and believe they are sluts or whatever, I'm also sure there must be many more that do it just to appeal to the fantasies of men - but not because they actually enjoy being called that.
If you've ever seen porn for women, you'd notice that it's much more emotional, there is more chemistry and passion between the performers, and no ass-to-mouth, deepthroat gagging, etc. This contrast between the two different types of fantasies each gender has should be somewhat convincing that the majority of the performers you are referring to are simply acting. In real life (like on this message board) you need to seperate yourself from this fantasy and understand that there is a time and a place for this type of thing.
And that language evolution argument has been used before in defense of this same debate. I'm not interested in rehashing the entire argument. Everybody's different, but respecting the opinions and practices of the majority wherever you are will always be the safest route. Apparantly this forum doesn't tolerate a certain type of language. So don't use it unless you are ready and willing to get lynched for it.

I think the rules are fair here about insulting other people. What's the point of it anyway? I'm reminded of a couple years ago here when Freeones put up a rule saying no more swearing and we were all like WTF?? Turn out it was April Fool's day.

I'm still wondering if "fuck sluts" was an imperative statement or a pejorative adjective that you used for women... Two words, in zero context, say nothing - IMO.

Negativity is tiresome. It drives members away. It's been quite noticeable, for some reason, since the new year started. Negativity and bitching by people (hypocritically, as well, since some of those who complain the most never start new or engaging discussion topics) stifles other people's willingness to create disussion topics. It outright turns some people off - to the point that they don't even visit the board except every few days (but instead ask others about it on MSN, Yahoo, or MySpace).
