DRN Volunteer Roll Call - Action Required
There has been no roll call since November 2017 so with that said, it is time to clean up the volunteer list. Please go to the Roll Call list and follow the instructions. If no response is received by May&nbsp;30, 2020, it will be assumed that you no longer wish to participate and you will be removed as a DRN volunteer. Thank you for your attention to this and for helping Wikipedians in their dispute processes.<br/>

Illinois State Guard/Illinois Reserve Militia
Hi. I wanted to let you know that I moved the page Illinois State Guard back to Illinois Reserve Militia. I did so because the article in question is about the state defense force as it existed during World War I and World War II, when the official name was "Illinois Reserve Militia." The law you cited only went into effect after World War II ended and the Illinois Reserve Militia was dissolved. For example, the Alaska Territorial Guard is a separate entity (and article) than the modern Alaska State Defense Force. I think it might be a good compromise to include a line about "in (year X), the state changed the name of its inactive state defense force to the Illinois State Guard" or something to that effect. However, because the state defense force of Illinois WAS officially named the Illinois Reserve Militia, and because the name "Illinois State Guard" didn't exist until after the unit was disbanded, someone looking for the historical World War-era force will likely be looking for it under the name it was actually called during the wars, and not the name change that was retroactively changed on paper years later. Please let me know if you want to discuss further. Et0048 (talk) 10:30, 6 December 2020 (UTC)
:Et0048 Seeing as you edit state defense force related articles more, I'm willing to defer to you on this. I do agree that we can add the line about the name change. Thanks for letting me know. Editor760 (talk) 04:53, 8 December 2020 (UTC)
