The potential for polyamory hasn't been discussed much just yet, but I'd be surprised if she isn't eventually open to it. Keep in mind they literally only had sex with each other and opened up about their feelings within the last couple days, so it's still very early for deeper relationship discussions.

Amber is the most obvious one to add as a polyamorous partner, but if you initially turned down Moonsong, Evelyn also doesn't seem to mind at all when MC goes on a date with her (in fact, Evelyn saw the date with her vision and comments that she hopes MC enjoys the date as much as she did). And keep in mind that Amber has a huge crush on Moonsong, so I doubt she'd object to Moonsong joining their polycule either.

Also, see my edit I just added to the post you quoted. I'd be surprised if Evelyn hasn't had visions of other people in polyamorous relationships, which could potentially open her up to the idea.

We also know for a fact this is a harem game. So if you use that metaknowledge a bit, I don't see a scenario where she isn't eventually on board if you make the right choices.

Frankly, I think her statements that she wants MC to be with other women to get their power is partially just a cover because she isn't quite comfortable admitting she's a cuckquean to MC yet. I'm sure she wants him to get powers, but she almost certainly just likes it in general, especially if they're attractive and/or celebrities.

She's also pretty much confirmed bisexual and a very sexual person in general. I'm sure part of the benefit of her consenting to MC being with other women is that she'll be able to join in on occasion. (Example: It's strongly hinted that there's a potential group sex scene coming up with Evelyn, Anna, and Arwen, which is definitely an opportunity that wouldn't happen for Evelyn without MC).

Edit: There's another factor here too. About 1 in 20 people in the US are currently in a polyamorous relationship, and 1 in 5 have tried consensual non-monogamy at least once. Evelyn has been mentally scrying on people for years, and for the last few months had been intentionally picking people that are sexually open in order to try to learn new skills to please MC the first time they do it. I pretty much guarantee she's been exposed to the idea of consensual non-monogamy already.

P.S. Evelyn keeping this to herself is likely changing soon.

I mean polyamorous is something very different than a harem lol and i feel like your statistics would go dooooooowwwwwnn % wise if its only about situations where only one guy ever is involved

Polyamorous relationships in reality nowaday: weird online dating girls dating 6 desperate guys at the same time until they make a decision

But as long as there is buildup towards it (like evelyn being a cuckquean) and how the relationship is going to work, thats good, i was just kinda worried that this will just be overlooked like in a lot of harem avns and everyone is gucci like via magic.

Folks who chose to turn down Georgia should have picked up on that. She literally jumps off MC's cock after she cums and gets Georgia to finish the job. Also, I think I've played pretty much every route and the ones where you turn her down are the most interesting wrt her personality as it seems she's willing to do anything for the MC.

I think the lore way to explain the harem is MC's power. Of the little we know of it, he's basically a walking magnet for women's affection. Frankly. some folks might complain he has a 'porn power', but there is zero way a real, dedicated, harem would exist in a modern setting without some outside influence. So, I'll take 'porn power' over 'porn logic' in any harem game. What will be interesting is how the dev handles characters like Georgia and Ruth, long-term. Georgia talks about monogamy if she gets into a serious relationship and Ruth's hidden desire is clearly along the lines of settling down with a partner or being treated like a housewife. Hopefully, the dev actually addresses these at some point, probably much much farther in the story.

I hope that the developer can make up some poly route too instead of simply defaulting to the generic harem tropes that several games like to use.
So far Jdor has not disapointed with the way the story is being handled, specially when it comes to the relationships between Jack&Amber (love) and Jack&Ruth(friendship).

Personally i would like to see a choice between a trully poly route and the conventional "harem power" route. I think it is possible with the way the story is set so far.
Or even some single romantic routes, which may be implied by things said by characters in the game so far, as mentioned above by romo-ice.

I would totaly go for a single route with Amber or Ruth if possible.

Yes, a ten-person polycule with just 1 guy would likely be extremely rare, if any exist at all. But that's where a bit of suspension of disbelief comes in due to his power, etc.

In any case, my main point was that Evelyn was likely exposed to the idea of polyamory already and might be fine with it.

P.S. The situation you described with the online dating only would count as polyamory if all the guys knew about each other and consented, and the intent was to pursue multiple romantic relationships. A better term for this would probably just be an open relationship.

Yeah, I'm sure Georgia and Ruth's potential hold-ups will eventually be addressed. I'm sure some LIs will take longer to warm up to the idea than others. There's always the possibility of them eventually accepting polyfidelity as a "close enough" thing to monogamy.

I suspect the nature of the polycule will depend a bit on if you have lesbian content enabled or not. With it on, there's definitely strong indications there will be interest between LIs as well.

It also wouldn't surprise me if the nature of some relationships is a bit different too, even within the polycule. It feels like MC, Evelyn, and Amber have the makings of a very serious, romantic triad forming. The other potential poly partners might be a bit more casual, or form their own triads, quads, etc within a larger polycule.

As for solo routes, I'm sure it's something you could do, but I'd be surprised if there's much (if any) content that would be exclusive to solo paths. Most likely it'll just be the same path, but without the other LIs and group sex content. Jacq has been very clear that it's a harem game, has explicitly stated that his suggested method of playing is to go for every LI, and that if you decline LI paths you'll have less content in future updates.

It's honestly hard to say with much accuracy. There's somewhat limited studies on consensual non-monogamy because until about 10-15 years ago, other than a brief period in the 70s, there wasn't tons of interest or grant money available.
There's a growing body of research though because people are realizing it's a lot more common than most people think, and that there's a shortage of information out there to help people like relationship counselors give good advice to people in consensual non-monogamous relationships.

That said, based on the studies available, your statement is likely right with regards to one-sided non-monogamous relationships compared to polyamory:

Bringing things back to Origin Story, I suspect what we'll eventually have is a romantic poly relationship with the main LIs, with pretty open communication within it regarding extradyadic sex. It might follow polyfidelity or might remain open with respect to MC occasionally casually sleeping with women outside the polycule for purposes of power gain, etc. We'll just wait to see on that one I suspect.

Finally gave this AVN a play. An all-round excellent game imo. Really enjoyed it. Well fleshed out characters, beautiful LI models, intelligent writing, great visuals and lengthy lewd scenes. Dev's definitely got talent.

Considering how unique he is and his potential power level, on top of all the powers in this world that we don't know about yet, it would be more amazing if he DIDN'T have some kind of actual conspiracy after him.

Time travel is probably a thing in this setting. That implies all kinds of things with the MC potentially having it in the future.

The current planned schedule is every 3 months, so probably near the beginning of April if that remains consistent since the last update was the beginning of January.

I just saw the last update was in the beginning of January, it feels like it has been a long time already.

But 2-3 months means by ending of march we should see a new update...

On his patreon he wrote 13 januari about a preview of version 0.7 (chapter 7?), which is a bit early, after that it's only nice images for his patreons....

Jacq's workflow means he's usually about a Chapter ahead of release. He was already working on Chapter 3 when he released Chapter 1, and likely was mostly done with Chapter 7 when he released Ch 6 (the Jan 20 dev update said all Ch 7 posing and rendering was done, and in Discord he mentioned he was about 2/3rd finished with post-work on Ch 7 as of Jan 23).

It helps keep release schedule consistent by providing a buffer in case a chapter takes longer than expected rather than fluctuating wildly. And it means he can potentially make changes if an idea occurs to him when working on the next chapter.
